Organised retirement documents and folders

The Case for Working
with Solvenna

There are several ways to get help organising retirement records. Here is what makes our approach distinctive — and why it suits people who want to take their time and do it properly.

Six Things That Set Solvenna Apart

Each of these reflects a deliberate choice we made about how to run these programmes.

Unhurried Format

Sessions do not rush. Participants move through material at their own pace, with space for questions.

Honest Scope

We are clear about what we cover and what we do not. No vague promises about outcomes or entitlements.

Tangible Materials

Every participant leaves with printed materials — a folder structure, index, or handbook — not just notes.

Designed for Older Readers

Large type, high contrast, and plain language. No jargon left unexplained. No small print.

Family-Inclusive

Adult children are welcome. Many participants bring a son or daughter who will help manage documents going forward.

English & Bahasa Malaysia

Sessions and materials are available in both languages. Participants choose what is most comfortable.

Experience

A Team with Administrative Depth

Our facilitators and support staff come from administrative services, records management, and HR practice. They understand the landscape of Malaysian retirement documentation because they have worked with it — not because they read about it. That familiarity means sessions spend less time on basics and more time on what participants actually need to do.

  • Hands-on experience with EPF and SOCSO record formats
  • Familiarity with multi-employer document histories
  • HR background informing the employer programme
  • Adult education approach throughout
Process

A Structure That Produces Results

The workshop and one-to-one programme both follow a clear sequence: identify what documents exist, locate them, request any that are missing, and file everything in a consistent structure. That sequence is not improvised — it has been tested across many participants and refined based on what actually works for people in Malaysia approaching retirement.

  • Pre-session preparation notes provided in advance
  • Printed folder structure and labelled index
  • Checklist participants complete themselves
  • Digital archive setup guidance
Service

Attentive, Patient Support

Retirement paperwork questions are often asked more than once, phrased slightly differently each time, until the answer settles. Our facilitators expect this and welcome it. There is no implication that a question should already be known, and no suggestion that time is running short. Every session is planned with room for this kind of back-and-forth.

  • Small group sizes in workshop sessions
  • One-to-one option for private, focused support
  • Post-session follow-up available for queries
  • In-person and online delivery options
Value

Transparent, Fixed Pricing in Ringgit

All three programmes are priced clearly in Malaysian Ringgit with no additional charges for materials or follow-up within the programme scope. The workshop at RM 520 includes all printed materials. The one-to-one programme at RM 1,450 covers four complete sessions. The employer programme at RM 4,500 includes on-site delivery, the customised handbook, and a six-month check-in.

  • Fixed programme pricing, no hidden costs
  • Materials included at all levels
  • Employer programme includes six-month check-in
  • Pricing stated before any commitment is made
Outcomes

What Participants Walk Away With

A session that ends without a tangible result is difficult to value. Every Solvenna programme ends with something the participant can put on their desk, hand to a family member, or open on their phone. That physical or digital output is the measure of the session's usefulness, not a score on a satisfaction form.

  • Workshop: printed folder structure and self-completion checklist
  • One-to-one: complete document inventory and one-page family summary
  • Employer: customised employee handbook and manager's toolkit
  • All: referral guidance for matters outside our scope

What Makes Our Approach Distinctive

A few specific features that are not common among similar educational offerings.

The Paper-First Principle

Every session is designed around physical documents — the kinds of paper that sit in drawers, that get folded into envelopes, that arrive by post years after employment ends. We do not assume everyone is managing documents digitally, though we support digital archiving for those who are ready for it.

Referral, Not Deflection

When a question falls outside our scope, we do not simply say "see a professional." We point participants toward the specific public body or resource that handles that question — EPF's member portal, SOCSO's published channels, or a relevant government agency — so they know exactly where to go next.

A Programme Built for HR Teams

Most retirement education is aimed at individuals. The Solvenna employer programme is built for the HR function — giving practitioners a structured, repeatable way to handle retirement transitions across cohorts, with materials that can be embedded into internal processes.

Built for Multi-Generational Use

The one-page family summary produced during the one-to-one programme is specifically designed so that an adult child, a spouse, or a trusted family member can follow it without having attended any sessions. This is a detail that matters when circumstances change unexpectedly.
